What is your idea of a perfect vacation?

Going to a place that has everything I want: sunshine, sea, culture, great food, rich history. I love short city breaks and weekend getaways as well. I love going anywhere to disconnect without gadgets and crowds. It’s great to be somewhere where life is still peaceful and simple, and you can empty yourself and lose yourself in that book you've always wanted to read.

What's the best place you've ever visited and why?

There are so many. It's very hard to decide. I would have to say that one of the most interesting places I've visited was Bali, where I spent my honeymoon. It was definitely a unique trip to a place that was nothing like home. The most memorable experience was a day trip to Mount Batur, which is an active volcano with a lake beneath it. These landscapes were magical and they really took my breath away. I never thought I'd be able to travel that far in my life. Standing there I really felt happy and thankful that I had witnessed something majestic.

What was the most exotic dining or cultural experience you've had when traveling?

Having a traditional Balinese lunch at a tiny local food stand in the village where our guide was born. It was the strangest tasting meal I've ever had, but by far the most authentic!
