Travel to Latvia during Covid

Yes, Latvia is open to American Tourists

Entry Requirements

Can American tourists enter Latvia? Yes

Can Canadian tourists enter Latvia? Yes

Unvaccinated travelers from the USA and Canada may enter Latvia. A negative PCR test certificate* is required.

Fully vaccinated (2 doses of Pfizer, Moderna or Astra-Zeneca, 1 dose of J&J) travelers from the USA and Canada may enter Latvia. There is no test requirement for fully vaccinated travelers.

Travelers from the USA and Canada who have received a Covid-19 booster may enter Latvia. There is no test requirement for travelers who have had a booster shot.

* Testing rules

Negative PCR test results are valid for 72 Hours from the time the test was taken. Negative Antigen test results are valid for 48 Hours from the time the test was taken

Passenger Locator Form

All passengers are required to fill in a Passenger Locator Form before arrival.

Antigen or PCR Testing for Returning Home

There is no longer a requirement for US citizens returning to the US to provide a negative PCR or Antigen test, since June 10 2022.

General COVID-19 measures to be aware of

  • maintain physical distance (2 meters)
  • maintain hand hygiene and disinfection (we will provide a personal bottle of hand sanitiser to you upon arrival)
  • for as long as wearing protective masks is mandatory we will provide one disposable mask per day of your vacation

There are no restrictions on access to, and hours for, restaurants and dining that would affect a traveler who is allowed to enter the country.
