Luxembourg is open to American tourists
Luxembourg reopened to non-essential (tourist) travel from the US in summer 2021, ending a period of over a year during which American travelers were unable to visit the country.
Entry Requirements
Can American tourists enter Luxembourg? Yes
Can Canadian tourists enter Luxembourg? Yes
Unvaccinated travelers from the USA and Canada are not permitted to enter Luxembourg
Fully vaccinated (2 doses of Pfizer, Moderna or Astra-Zeneca, 1 dose of J&J) travelers from the USA and Canada may enter Luxembourg. The validity of a vaccination certificate is 9 months. There is no test requirement for fully vaccinated travelers.
Travelers from the USA and Canada who have received a Covid-19 booster may enter Luxembourg. There is no test requirement for travelers who have had a booster shot.
* Testing rules
Negative PCR test results are valid for 72 Hours from the time the test was taken. Negative Antigen test results are valid for 48 Hours from the time the test was taken
Antigen or PCR Testing for Returning Home
There is no longer a requirement for US citizens returning to the US to provide a negative PCR or Antigen test, since June 10 2022.
General COVID-19 measures to be aware of
- maintain physical distance (2 meters)
- maintain hand hygiene and disinfection (we will provide a personal bottle of hand sanitiser to you upon arrival)
- For as long as wearing masks is we will provide a disposable mask of the required type for each day of your trip
