Yes, the Netherlands is open to American tourists
The Netherlands reopened to tourists from the US and Canada in Summer 2021, ending a period of over a year during which American travelers were unable to visit the country.
Can American tourists enter Netherlands? Yes
Can Canadian tourists enter Netherlands? Yes
Unvaccinated travelers from the USA and Canada are not permitted to enter Netherlands
Fully vaccinated (2 doses of Pfizer, Moderna or Astra-Zeneca, 1 dose of J&J) travelers from the USA and Canada may enter Netherlands. There is no test requirement for fully vaccinated travelers.
Travelers from the USA and Canada who have received a Covid-19 booster may enter Netherlands. There is no test requirement for travelers who have had a booster shot.

Negative PCR test results are valid for 48 Hours from the time the test was taken. Negative Antigen test results are valid for 24 Hours from the time the test was taken
Antigen or PCR Testing for Returning Home
There is no longer a requirement for US citizens returning to the US to provide a negative PCR or Antigen test, since June 10 2022.
General COVID-19 measures to be aware of
- maintain physical distance (1.5 meters)
- maintain hand hygiene and disinfection (we will provide a personal bottle of hand sanitiser to you upon arrival)
- For as long as masks are required, we will provide a disposable mask of the required type for each day of your trip.
Note: Non-surgical face masks are mandatory on planes and on all public transport, including trains, trams, buses, taxis, and passenger vans.

Proof of covid status required to enter restaurants: Nothing
Note: As of 25 February most locations, including restaurants and bars, no longer require a coronavirus entry pass for admission.
