Getting your candy fix in Budapest
Wandering round the sidestreets between Kiraly Ut. and Andrassy boulevard we happened on this oasis of all things sugary, the aptly named Sugar Shop. There are actually two branches, but the one on Paulay Ede street is the most centrally located.
Walking in here is like stepping into a Wonka factory store, and then some. With imported candy from the US (and a whole wall of Jelly Belly!) as well as all manner of cakes (special occasion cakes and everyday varieties). Whether you’re after a taste of home or just want to indulge your sweet tooth, Sugar Shop has it.
