Operations Director

Since 2007 Ana has been an integral part of JayWay's success in the Croatia and surrounding countries. A native of Dubrovnik, where she is based, Ana studied at the University of Economics in Dubrovnik and has also been certified to conduct operations as a travel agency manager. Her passion for culture and tradition is apparent in her participation as a member of a nationally recognized acapella group. Ana's professionalism and dedication ensure JayWay guests are provided an unforgettable experience. Having been with us since the very beginning, Ana's understanding and knowledge of both guests and colleagues are key to her excelling as Customer Experience Director.

Why do you think it's important to travel?

For many reasons… My main ones would be stress reduction, giving yourself time to relax, rewarding yourself for your work, and getting to know different cultures and people.

What is your idea of a perfect vacation?

A combination of history, good food, and relaxation. In general being able to spend days just the way I want.

What's the best place you've ever visited and why?

I can't name just one - Rome is one of my favorite cities, Krakow left a strong impression on me and a big Argentina trip was the most special one for me. For sure I’m a little biased but I can never get bored with the Dalmatian coast and islands...

What's something you always bring with you when you travel?

I don't know how to pack light so there is not just one thing I always bring with me, I usually pack half of my house!

Mountains or beaches? Why?

Beaches. Always beaches. I feel more comfortable when I can see the sea, it is more relaxing for me.

When you travel are you more interested in history, relaxation, cuisine, or adventure?

Relaxation and cuisine.

What were your reasons for choosing to work in travel? And what value do you see in it?

Working in tourism for me it is not just a regular job, I like to say that I live my job, it became a lifestyle. It is nice when you can share your knowledge of the places you know about and at the same time make someone's vacation something to remember. It just feels so good!
