Explore Central & Eastern Europe's Jewish Heritage
Central and Eastern Europe have a long and rich Jewish heritage, with the diaspora setting up sizable Ashkenazi and Sephardic communities in cities from Saint Petersburg to Sofia. Highlights of the region include the many synagogues in Prague's Josefov neighborhood, Budapest's Great Synagogue (Europe’s largest synagogue), and Dubrovnik's Old Synagogue, the oldest Sephardic synagogue in Europe still in use today and just one of many Jewish Heritage sites in Croatia.
Sadly no mention of the Jewish experience in Europe can be complete without including key Holocaust locations, so we can arrange visits to camps including Auschwitz, Dachau, and Terezin, or former ghettos such as in Krakow and Warsaw. We have helped many guests get in touch with their European roots with the help of local genealogists, and the selection of tours and day trips we offer in many of our destinations provide the best way to do so.

Professional, knowledgeable, accommodating, thorough, excellent drivers and tour guides, who were extremely knowledgeable and added Jewish history where it was applicable. English excellent, five star service, would use JayWay Travel again in a heartbeat. My Croatian contact Josipa was phenomenal. All around wonderful service from start to finish.

We've traveled with other trip planners and have been pleased. I'd say your planning and support was among the best. Our local JayWay contact was great. We went to many Jewish sites...synagogues and holocaust related sites. Each one was special.

JayWay are good listeners who know their territory and provide good value. Extremely helpful, knowledgeable, very well organized terrific website. Everyone was always on time or early. The two guides in Krakow who led us through the Jewish experience were great. We learned a lot from Krakow Jewish tours. Also the Polin Museum in Warsaw was fantastic and spent 4 hours going through it.
