After you land at Olbia Costa Smeralda airport you will be met in the arrivals hall by a driver holding a sign with your name on. The journey to your accommodation in Porto Cervo should take around one hour.

The expanse of soft, white sand of the Grande Pevero is lapped by the turquoise reflections of the sea, flanked by Mediterranean scrub. Separated by a promontory, Piccolo Pevero is ideal for a demanding but rewarding hike to admire the islets of Li Nibani. Further south, more wonders await, such as the Romazzino and the Principe Beach, as well as Cala di Volpe and Liscia Ruja.

Alghero is also famous for its “Red Gold”: the Corallium Rubrum, the most precious Coral of the Mediterranean Sea, that is caught here.

A very long strip of sand starts from the city and reaches up to Fertilia, a small hamlet of Alghero. You can get there on foot from the Busquet walkway. Here, as early as 1862, the first bathing resorts were founded, and today, there are still several of them, all well-equipped. But what is surprising is the presence, a stone's throw from the city, of fine and deep sand on which palm trees, junipers with large roots, and beautiful lilies of the sand grow. Not to mention the clear-blue Sardinian sea. Alghero’s main beach, frequented by the Alghero people at any time of day, is the best place to swim, sunbathe, and mingle with locals.
