Dubrovnik offers an unusual blend of modern culture and ancient traditions. Marble-like polished limestone streets, a labyrinth of alleyways, and breathtaking architecture compose the unique atmosphere of the Old Town. You’ll experience a true variety of sightseeing, leisure, and outdoor adventures here. Dubrovnik’s most stunning feature is the 82-foot tall city wall which extends more than a mile. Game of Thrones fans will be in luck, as we offer a special tour to local set locations. King’s Landing never looked so good! There’s a rich selection of live performances for music lovers here, as concerts are performed daily, and in July and August the Dubrovnik Summer Festival of music, theatre and dance brings incredible performers from around the world. The nightlife is also exciting, with restaurants, cafes and bars that will keep you socializing until dawn. You’ll be staying in beautiful accommodation within short walking distance to all the major sites, so you’ll be able to sample a little of everything. But there are also several exciting day trips and cruises to enjoy. From kayaking through hidden coves to an authentic Croatian cooking class, vineyard tours, and trips as far afield as Montenegro, you’ll have more than enough to fill your itinerary.

Day 1

Day 2

Day 2 - Your First Full Day in Dubrovnik

Chase Bunnies and Peacocks

Suggestion to explore on your own

To get away from the crowds and keep your young ones active, take a boat from Dubrovnik's Old Harbor and visit the island of Lokrum. The Botanical Gardens there are home to 500 different kinds of exotic plants, mostly trees and shrubs, a perfect setting for enjoying beach activities and chilling in the shade. Kids will love the wild peacocks and bunnies freely roaming the island, including the gardens. The bunnies are mostly in the park near the center of the island, so we definitely recommend taking a walk there. Visit the small inland salt lake (the “Dead Sea”) and go swimming at the numerous beaches encircling the island.

Day 3

Day 3 - Your Second Full Day in Dubrovnik

A Day at the Beach

Suggestion to explore on your own

Dubrovnik is located on the Adriatic, one of the world’s bluest and cleanest seas. Of course, the beaches are fantastic too. These are our favorites: Banje beach is the busiest in the city center, but provides some of the best views of the old town and its ramparts. You can relax or play a variety of water sports including sand handball and water polo. Buza Beach is located on the rocks beneath the city walls. There's a beautiful sea view and the cafe ensures that the fun continues even after dark. St. Jacob Beach is often considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Dubrovnik. It's certainly one of the most "Instagrammable" places in Dubrovnik. It has a view of entire Dubrovnik area, while less crowded than Banje.

Sulic beach is a must if you are a Game of Thrones fan. One of the best hidden places to swim, and only five minutes outside of the old town, this spot tucked behind the Lovrijenac Fort often plays the part of King’s Landing.

A Day at the Beach

Ranch Time

Suggestion to explore on your own

For active families looking for a fun-packed trip in nature, Bio Konavle Ranch is the perfect place! From horseback riding through picturesque meadows to cycling and fun games on the miniature sport courts, this oasis will keep you occupied and moving. More information on the ranch can be found here: https://biokonavle.com/. Of course, we'll be happy to provide support and assistance in getting there and booking activities.

Day 4 - Traveling to Hvar by Ferry

Today you're off to Hvar, Europe's sunniest island! Our representative in Dubrovnik will provide you with tickets for the ferry. You will be picked up from your accommodation by your private driver who will take you to the port in plenty of time for your departure. This ferry service is the fastest and most convenient way to get to Hvar but if you would prefer taking the opportunity to see some sights along the way, for additional fee there's an option of taking a private transfer to Split and a ferry to Hvar from there. Along the way you can stop to explore Ston, the oyster capital of Croatia, or Mostar in Bosnia to see the famously reconstructed bridge. Please note that this is a full day transfer.

One of the gems of the Adriatic, Hvar is more than a beautiful coastal town. It’s also an ancient epicenter of culture, boasting the oldest communal theater in Europe, and a stunning medieval fortress dating back to the 7th century. There’s a little bit of everything here, from history and architecture to modern culture, outdoor adventures and isolated beaches. Whether you want a vacation that’s action-packed or something more relaxing, Hvar will offer more than enough variety to please you. The longest of the Adriatic islands, Hvar’s fertile landscape makes it perfect for growing grapes, giving you several local vineyards to visit. Be sure to sample the local cuisine, which emphasizes freshly caught fish, warm bread, and vegetables grown on the island. We can offer a tasting tour at the finest local vineyards. Those seeking an active vacation will not be disappointed either, as there are several possibilities for sailing, swimming, exploring the sea caves along the coast. You can also take a hike in Hvar's many hills, or go offroad with a local guide. This is a relaxing destination with warm locals. It’s an ideal summer vacation spot.

This is a scenic organic farm with free entrance. You can check out the crops and also admire the animals, which include a crocodile, a llama, an eagle and more. There are more adventurous options for children on the water as well, including private speed boat tours, kayaking and sailing.

Once there you can enjoy the freedom that comes from having your own boat, without the responsibility of navigating. Your skipper will show you secluded coves and the very best beaches on this chain of islands as well on the southern coast of Hvar island. Day Stop in Split

The Roman Emperor Diocletian made Split his home in the 4th Century AD, building a vast palace complex on the waterfront that stands to this day. In fact several of the accommodation options we offer in Split are nestled inside its ancient walls. These days there is an embankment in front of Diocletian's palace but the water used to go right up to the main wall. It's on this man-made strip of land that you'll find the Riva, a pedestrian promenade bustling with life. Split's UNESCO listed Old Town is contained within these old walls and is a pedestrian-only maze that it is quite easy, but fun, to get lost in. Who know what romantic hidden cafés you might find in one of the narrow streets and alleyways? To get the best out of your time in Split, however, we recommend taking a tour with a local guide. Split is very well connected for flights, with an international airport a half hour drive away and is a popular stopping point for our guests on their way between Dubrovnik and the islands of Hvar, Vis, or Korcula, all easily reached by a ferry from Split's port. If you base yourself in Split for a few days, you will find it is also perfect located for visits to some of Croatia's most stunning national parks.

Sibenik may seem a bit obscure to be protected by four large fortresses, but once you see the Cathedral of St. James, they'll make more sense. The UNESCO-listed cathedral is a stunning bright white stone example of Renaissance architecture at its height, topped with an unusual rounded barrel roof and dome, and full of unusual decorations, such as dozens of heads lining the exterior. The surrounding Old Town is itself a delight to explore, and no visit is complete without taking in the views from atop the steep walls of the Venetian St. Michael's Fortress.
