Day 1
Day 1 - Arrival in Lima
After you land at Lima’s airport, your driver will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall, holding a sign with your name on it. The journey to your accommodation will take up to one hour.
Altitude Advisory
Some destinations on this itinerary are located at high altitude, including Cusco (11,150 ft). Some travelers may experience mild symptoms, such as headache, fatigue, dizziness, or shortness of breath while adjusting to the elevation. We recommend staying well hydrated, avoiding excessive alcohol upon arrival, and taking the first days at a relaxed pace. Guests with pre-existing medical conditions, particularly heart or respiratory conditions, should consult their doctor prior to travel.

Lima Dining Group Experience
Treat your taste buds to Lima’s unique culinary delights under the stars on an exclusive evening food tour. Sip a Pisco cocktail by the sea, dine in the shadow of ancient ruins, and savor a tasting menu inspired by Peru’s coast, Andes, and the Amazon rainforest. 2 Nights in Sacred Valley Resorts
2 Nights in Sacred Valley Resorts

2 Nights in Sacred Valley Resorts
The Sacred Valley resort area is ideal for travelers seeking the perfect blend of nature, comfort, and relaxation. Evenings are usually peaceful, and most dining happens within the hotels, which offer excellent cuisine and beautiful settings. The atmosphere is more rural than urban, but that’s exactly what many guests appreciate: quiet nights, starry skies, and a sense of calm that comes into striking contrast with busier Peruvian cities. As the area is spread out, activities typically require short drives, and there are limited standalone restaurants or shops outside the hotels. But the combination of natural beauty, fresh air, and top-quality lodgings renders the Sacred Valley one of the most pleasant places to stay in the entire country.

Upon arrival, your driver will drop you off at your accommodation.
Dine at a Unique Restaurant
For a unique culinary experience, make sure you try Mil Centro, a special restaurant that offers an immersive dining experience in the form of a set tasting menu, where locally sourced ingredients, ancient recipes and cooking methods, and a deep connection to the region's culture and ecosystem take center stage. The only drawback is that you need to book a table way in advance, sometimes even months before your visit.
Day 3
Day 3 - Your First Full Day in Sacred Valley Resorts

Sacred Valley Private Tour
Discover the Sacred Valley on a full-day tour from Ollantaytambo to Cusco, visiting Maras, Moray, and Chinchero. Explore Inca history, vibrant culture, and traditional markets filled with colorful crafts. Travel in comfort to see the salt mines of Maras and the ancient terraces of Moray. End your journey in Chinchero, where you’ll experience Andean weaving and breathtaking mountain scenery.
A Foodie's Day in The Valley
Begin your morning with a stroll through the Mercado de Urubamba, sampling fresh fruit, snacks, local cheese, and Andean grains while soaking in the lively market atmosphere. Around midday, head to Wayra Restaurant at Sol y Luna for a Pachamanca lunch, an authentic Andean culinary tradition where meat, potatoes, corn, and vegetables are slow-cooked underground on hot stones, honoring Pachamama, the goddess of the earth. In the afternoon, continue your exploration of local flavors at Cervecería del Valle Sagrado, tasting craft beers inspired by Andean ingredients or visit a nearby cacao or coffee workshop to learn about and sample Peruvian chocolate or coffee specialties. This itinerary combines culture, culinary tradition, and local craftsmanship, all within the scenic Sacred Valley.
Day 4
Day 4 - Traveling to Machu Picchu Pueblo by Private Transfer & Train, via Ollantaytambo
Today you'll travel to Ollantaytambo by priate transfer. Our driver will pick you up from your accommodation and the drive will take about one hour.
Day Stop in Ollantaytambo

Day Stop in Ollantaytambo
Ollantaytambo is one of the most atmospheric destinations in the Sacred Valley, a small town where Inca history isn’t just preserved, but still very much lived. Its narrow streets, stone channels, and original urban layout date back more than 500 years, and this is why it's considered one of the best surviving examples of an Inca settlement. It's no overstatement to say that walking around Ollantaytambo feels like stepping into a living archaeological site.

Pachamanca Farm Lunch Group Foodie Experience
Pachamanca, meaning “earth oven” in Quechua, is an ancient Andean tradition where meats and vegetables are slow-cooked over hot stones for a rich, smoky flavor. The experience begins with a guided visit to the hotel grounds, an organic farm, a cañazo distillery, and a coffee roastery. Guests then enjoy a farm-to-table feast of chicken, pork, lamb, and optional alpaca, rabbit, or cuy, served with native potatoes, vegetables, and Andean sauces. Lunch is accompanied by chicha morada and served outdoors with views of mountains, Inca ruins, and glaciers.
It's time to head off and see what you almost certainly came to Peru for: Machu Picchu. There are two ways to explore this incredible site, either on a multi-day trek or by train.

2 Nights in Machu Picchu Pueblo
2 Nights in Machu Picchu Pueblo

2 Nights in Machu Picchu Pueblo
The greatest advantage of Machu Picchu Pueblo is its location. Staying here allows travelers to reach the ancient citadel of Machu Picchu early in the morning, with minimal travel time. However, there's more to Machu Picchu Pueblo than just its convenient location. In this charming town, you'll be amazed by scenic mountain views, while the soothing murmur of the water as you walk along the river that runs through the town is the perfect soundtrack to the most relaxing strolls. Speaking of relaxing moments, many of the hotels we've partnered with in Machu Picchu offer spa facilities, ideal when preparing for, or recuperating from, exploring the ruins.

Stroll Machu Picchu's Artisanal Market
No visit to Machu Picchu Pueblo is complete without a stroll through the town's Artisan Market. This colorful maze of stalls by the train tracks is packed with alpaca textiles, ceramics, jewelry, and souvenirs. It's the ideal place to buy gifts and keepsakes before or after visiting Machu Picchu. Open until 8 PM, the market is a lovely place to go after dinner, on your way back to your hotel.
Day 5
Day 5 - Your First Full Day in Machu Picchu Pueblo

Machu Picchu Private Tour (non refundable)
Today, you will explore the marvels of Machu Picchu, likely to be the highlight of your journey through Peru. Your private guide will meet you at your hotel and accompany you to the bus station. From here, you will take a shuttle up the mountain, which is the sole means of accessing the archaeological site, as private vehicles are not permitted.
Upon arrival at the entrance, your guide will lead you through the designated sectors included with your ticket type. Highlights of the main archaeological site include the Temple of the Sun, the Sacred Rock, and the Temple of the Three Windows. You will also have time to enjoy the iconic panoramic viewpoint and experience the principal landmarks of the citadel.
For travelers with a higher fitness level, there is an option to add the additional hike to Huayna Picchu at an extra cost. Please note that this is a strenuous ascent on uneven stairs, but you will be rewarded with spectacular views overlooking the entire Machu Picchu archaeological site.
At the end of your guided visit, we highly recommend extending your stay, and we can book lunch for you at the beautiful Belmond Sanctuary Lodge, which sits at the site entrance and is the only hotel in the area. Alternatively, if you prefer to return to Machu Picchu Pueblo, you can take the next available bus back down the mountain, as they run frequently but cannot be booked in advance.
Reward Yourself With a Lunch To Remember
After your guided visit to Machu Picchu, we suggest stopping for lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge, just outside the site entrance. It’s the most convenient place to unwind after exploring the ruins, offering a comfortable setting and delicious food. The spectacular views of the surroundings from the floor to ceiling windows, accompanied by delicious Peruvian specialties make for a memorable meal and relaxing break before continuing your day at your own pace.
A Well-Earned Spa Break
After visiting Machu Picchu, your tired muscles deserve a pampering spa treatment following a day of walking and exploration. If your hotel doesn't have spa facilities, slow down and recover with a massage or wellness session at El Mapi Hotel, a convenient and reliable option, offering a comfortable, modern setting for relaxation before continuing your journey.

3 Nights in Cusco
Cusco’s unique charm lies in its friendly and warm people, colorful traditional clothing, and animated local spirit. The city offers an impressive selection of top-quality hotels and restaurants, from casual spots serving Andean dishes to classy fine dining experiences. Cusco is also considered one of Peru’s safest and most walkable cities, with plenty to discover on foot. That said, visitors should keep in mind that Cusco is one of the world's highest cities, and it may take a little time for the body to adjust to this high altitude. It's no secret that the city’s hilly streets can make walking a bit tiring at first. Take your time to explore the city’s unparalleled atmosphere, warmth, and cultural richness with multiple colonial era and Incan sites in and near the city that comprise Cusco's UNESCO World Heritage List entry.

Acclimatization's Important!
Cusco sits way up at around 11,150 feet (3,400 meters) above sea level, so give yourself time to acclimatize when you arrive. Take it easy on day one, stay well-hydrated, and avoid heavy meals or alcohol until you’re feeling settled. Many travelers find that sipping coca tea (available at every cafe, restaurant and hotel in Cusco) or taking short, gentle walks helps their body adjust. If you’re flying straight in from sea level, expect to feel the altitude. Most people tend to adjust to the altitude within a day.

Taste everything from smoky anticuchos to rich local coffee, while meeting the caseras who bring these traditions to life. Andean Textiles Private Tour
This tour is a journey into one of the Andes’ most enduring artistic traditions, guided by master weavers from the local community. The tour is completed with a traditional lunch made from local ingredients, fostering an authentic connection to daily life in the Andean highlands.

Chocolate Workshop Group Experience
Experience the art of chocolate-making with the Chocolate workshop. This hands-on experience guides participants through the entire chocolate-making process, from roasting cacao beans to crafting their own chocolate bars.
