Day 3

Day 3 - Arrival in Inverness

Upon arrival at Inverness Train Station, you will find the taxi rank clearly signposted. We have not included a transfer for this portion of your journey, as in our experience, meet-and-greet transfer services in Inverness can be overpriced and sometimes difficult to coordinate upon arrival. Local taxis, however, are reliable, reasonably priced, and readily available at the station. You should have no trouble finding one, making this a convenient and efficient way to reach your centrally located accommodation while also saving both time and money.

Ease Into Inverness

Suggestion to explore on your own

For your first night in Inverness, ease into the city with a relaxing walk along the River Ness. Stroll along the banks to check out the many beautiful bridges that cross the water, making sure to walk over the striking Greig Street Bridge. From the riverside, you can also look up to enjoy impressive evening views of Inverness Castle from below.

Afterward, head into the city center to experience the local music scene. Many traditional pubs offer casual live folk music in the evenings, providing a perfect, low-key introduction to Highland culture where you can grab a drink and unwind without committing to a long activity.
