A licensed tour guide and proud Budapest local, Bettina was an excellent addition to our team in Hungary when she joined in 2016, and continues to develop, as she is now the Team Leader for the Central and Eastern Europe Local Team. She is overflowing with enthusiasm for Budapest's culture and history as well as its best cafés, and she loves sharing this knowledge with our guests. Her aim is to make people love the city as much as she does. A keen theater, concert, and festival-goer, Bettina always has her finger on Budapest's pulse.

What’s your favorite thing about traveling?

Meeting new people, speaking with them about life, and sharing a moment. I also love finding myself in incredible situations and breathtaking places. It makes me feel that I am alive and helps me recognize the beauty in life, in the earth, and in people.

What's the best place you've ever visited and why?

Sicily for sure! I met a teacher from Sicily who had a daughter my age, and invited me to spend some time there, just for fun and to speak English with her daughter. Anyway, I went there for almost three weeks. We were in a small beach town called Selinunte. The girl was very friendly. Everyone in town knew her, and she had a lot of friends. They immediately considered me a great friend and invited us to awesome places and parties. Everyday we went to the beach or visited some cool place. I think that was the first time in my adult life when I really recognized what happiness is. It was pure happiness. I don't know how to explain it any better.

What were your reasons for choosing to work in travel? And what value do you see in it?

I love sharing experiences, learning from others, and making other people happy with the experience and knowledge I can provide.
