There are so many things to do in the Algarve, you’ll never get bored! The most obvious thing to do is to spend time on the coast enjoying the beach. You can try your hand at surfing in one of the many surf schools dotted along the shores, or just relax and listen to the waves crashing against the rocks. Sagres is a very popular surfing spot that we recommend visiting if you’d like to try it out! We also recommend visiting the region’s capital, Silves, an important city during the Al-Andalus Moorish reign. It has a very well preserved fortress and is one of the main sites to see the Moorish legacy left in modern Portugal. With so many things to do and places to see in the region, you can even rent a car and do a self-driving tour, we’d be happy to arrange that for you during your trip!

Vegetarians and vegans might need to ask for options when dining at a traditional restaurant. There also are numerous vegetarian and vegan specialized eateries.
