Lithuania’s second city might be a a bit slow off the mark compared the culinary revolution afoot in the capital but there’s a place well worth visiting should you find yourself here.
Working with mainly locally and preferably organically sourced ingredients the team here are challenging preconceptions about Lithuanian cuisine, one dish at a time.
The menu changes regularly based on availability and seasonality so you can be fairly certain that few of the dishes shown below, will feature but they will at least give you an idea of what you can expect from this cool but understated eatery just off Kaunas’s main shopping street, Liberty Avenue.
The bare wood tables and simple decor make it pretty clear that the main focus here is the food. This isn’t white tablecloth fine-dining but you’ll enjoy molecular cuisine created by a young passionate team.
The tasting menu runs a very reasonable 30 Euros for six courses.
