Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What are some must-see places I should add to my Europe honeymoon?

Deciding which destinations to add to your Europe honeymoon itinerary very much depends on your preferences. That said, the most popular destinations in Europe could be the perfect fit for a romantic getaway to remember. Some of the best places to include in your Europe honeymoon are the beautiful Greek Islands that are scattered across the glistening Aegean Sea, the cosmopolitan French Riviera and Paris with its iconic landmarks, such as the Eiffel Tower and Montmartre, and the celebrated Amalfi Coast, dreamlike Lake Como, colorful Cinque Terre, or the Eternal City in Italy.

How much does a private tour of Europe cost?

Our Europe honeymoon vacation packages start from around $350 per person per day. The most significant sum is usually spent on your accommodation, especially if you opt for a luxury hotel with an infinity pool, hot tub, or a private beach at some of the best honeymoon destinations, but private full-day tours can increase the cost, too. All our sample itineraries have a Price Guide function to give you an idea of the cost for different levels of accommodation and the month of travel.

Can we reduce costs but still have an amazing Europe honeymoon?

We can mix and match different levels of accommodation during your trip. In some more expensive destinations where you’ll be out enjoying day trips anyway, that’s a good place to make some savings. For some day trips, a small group option rather than a private one can be much cheaper, and sometimes an even better experience, as you’ll get the chance to meet like-minded travelers.

When is the best time of year to plan our Europe honeymoon?

The best time of year for a perfect honeymoon in Europe largely depends on what you want to do and which places you plan to add to your Europe itinerary. In general, spring and fall are the optimal times to visit Europe to make the most of sunny weather with fewer crowds. On the contrary, the summer months of July and August are the hottest and busiest months, especially in Southern Europe, so make sure you avoid them.

Can we self-drive during our Europe honeymoon?

If you’re dreaming of a European road trip, we can arrange rental cars for all or part of the trip, but keep in mind that dropping off a rental in another country incurs high one-way fees. Your JayWay trip planner can arrange for separate rentals where needed. This way, you can avoid unnecessary expenses and have the freedom to get around by car when you need to.

Can I take a free day or two with no tours?

Absolutely. Our vacation packages are customized to your wishes. You don’t have to fill every day of your Europe honeymoon, and we encourage leaving plenty of time aside to appreciate the destinations you’re visiting by tasting the best food at local markets, sipping superb local wine, embracing the local culture, or simply taking a romantic stroll with your better half.
