Most of our guests travel to Croatia from the US by air, unless they are already traveling in a nearby European country. There are direct flights from the US to Dubrovnik Airport, operated by United Airlines.

Deciding which destinations to add to your Croatia honeymoon itinerary very much depends on your preferences. If you want to visit the most famous places, you shouldn’t miss the Old Town of Dubrovnik, Zagreb, Split, Hvar, and the Plitvice Lakes National Park. However, if you want to take the road less traveled in Croatia, we can craft an itinerary that includes some well-kept secrets, such as Rovinj or Korcula.

The most significant sum is usually spent on accommodation, but private full-day tours with a local guide or private boat tours can increase the cost, too. We can mix and match different levels of accommodation during your trip. In some more expensive destinations where you’ll be out enjoying day trips anyway, that’s a good place to make some savings. For a day trip, a small group option rather than a private one can be much cheaper, and sometimes an even more wonderful experience, as you’ll get the chance to meet like-minded travelers.

The best time of year for a perfect honeymoon in Croatia largely depends on what you want to do and which places you plan to add to your Croatia itinerary. In general, spring and fall are the optimal times to visit Croatia to make the most of sunny days, mild temperatures, and fewer crowds. April, May, early June, late September, and October seem to be the ideal months for your Croatia honeymoon if you plan to enjoy outdoor adventures, such as hiking. The summer months of July and August might be the ideal times for swimming and boat trips, but they’re also the hottest and busiest months in Croatia, so try to avoid them. 

If you’re looking to extend your Croatia honeymoon by visiting other countries too, we would recommend adding Slovenia, Montenegro, or even Italy to your itinerary if you have enough time and depending on your preferences.
