With some of the lowest prices in the world for hot-air ballooning as well as being one of the few cities in Europe that you’re allowed to fly over in a hot air balloon, Vilnius is possibly one of the best places to tick off that particular bucket list item.
You can choose between flying over the city of Vilnius itself or the Trakai castle and lakes, a 30 minute drive from Vilnius. In either case, flights take place around dawn or dusk and you will be picked up from your hotel. The whole process takes about 4-5 hours, including getting to and from the take off and landing sites. You will spend at least an hour in the air.
