Swords and Saucery in Dubrovnik

Published , by

We’ve just added two new activities to our Dubrovnik excursions line-up and we’re certain they’ll be big hits.

Dubrovnik Game of Thrones Tour

Dubrovnik Game of Thrones TourA private guide and GoT mega-fan will take you on a journey through TV’s King’s Landing, showing you where key scenes were shot and which elements of reality blended with the CGI to produce HBO’s blockbuster hit show, Game of Thrones. Even if you’re not a fan of the show this tour has plenty for the uninitiated as you will get an overview of the history of Dubrovnik and see the city’s most significant sights along the way. True fans will want to opt for the extended version of the tour which includes visits to sites outside Dubrovnik, such as the island of Lokrum, the setting for the city of Quarth, and the Arboretum gardens at Trsteno.

Konavle Farmhouse Cooking Class

cookery classDon’t just go out to eat, take part in making your meal too! This all-inclusive private half-day experience (available for lunch or dinner) will get you out into the countryside near Dubrovnik with a private driver, the Konavle region to be specific. Visit an agritourism (farmhouse) where you’ll first pick fresh seasonal vegetables from the family garden and over the next four hours or so, with the help of an expert local cook you’ll prepare a full traditional four course meal comprising appetizers, fresh pasta, a main course with locally sourced fish or meat and a dessert. Your food will be accompanied by the best local wines and you will end the meal with a digestif of homemade brandy before being driven back to the city of Dubrovnik on the Dalmatian coast.

Want to see what the cooking class is like? Several of our Dubrovnik team joined some of our guests on one of the classes and made this video about the experience:
