The Heart of Ukrainian Culture. Lviv is a hidden cultural and culinary gem.
Lviv is a picture-perfect Old World city. Start with the UNESCO-listed Old Town if you want to get in touch with traditional Ukraine. Lviv’s unique atmosphere emanates from all of its elegant houses, cobblestone streets, and ornate squares, much of which comes from the city's time as an Austro-Hungarian provincial capital. You’ll have a wonderful time exploring the heart of Ukrainian culture. Rynok Square is the center of the city, one of the must-see sights. We offer numerous tours around the city. It's easy to find something fun to do in Lviv. The perfect museum, a magnificent opera, or great cafe is always just around the corner.
Route for Lviv tour
Lviv is the most popular tourist destination in Ukraine. It's a cosmopolitan city with a history of Jewish, Polish, Austrian, and Hungarian influences. European history buffs will love it. The abundance of cafes and chocolatiers is another thing that makes the city special. Lviv is Ukraine's coffee, chocolate, and liqueur capital. Then there are the many whimsically-themed restaurants. It began with Kryivka, the Ukrainian partisan-themed place where you need to say a password to get in. Since then many more fun places have opened. It's easy to have a fantastic vacation here.

What we love about Lviv

Antonia

Operations Executive

Lviv is a quaint city with a very special vibe, both mysterious and inviting. This is a city of rich history, coffee, chocolate, jazz, art, secret codes, and roof terraces. There is so much to be revealed while having fun. Don't miss out on any of these, make sure to check out every little hidden corner as this city won't stop surprising you and rewarding your curiosity in the best way. I'm so happy I got this chance.

Lviv has an intriguing and somewhat mysterious quality about itself. No wonder that the historical center of Lviv has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Everywhere in the Old Town, there are places where one can feel transported into a bygone century, as all the monuments there have not been really ever renovated. I particularly liked the opportunity to climb the stairs of the great tower of the town hall building, and then from the top, enjoying the wonderful panoramic views.

Josipa

Team Leader for France, Benelux & Switzerland

Lviv is one of the most charming towns that I had a chance to visit. Definitely doesn't fit into the regular picture of Ukraine as it reflects its own style and its own character. The town is full of surprises, each corner is particularly charming and there is so much to experience, endless grappa tastings, superb chocolate factory, peculiar coffee tastings. The majority of streets are full of charming, unique cafes and restaurants (some cafes are even situated on the rooftops), and having a reputation of a student town, Lviv is pulsing 24/7.

Frequently Asked Questions about travel to Lviv

How long should I stay in Lviv?
We recommend 2-3 full days in Lviv. The first day, you can take a city walking tour, enjoying the magnificent sites of the Old Town, followed up with a coffee or liqueur degustation in the late afternoon. The next day, you can take a Jewish Heritage tour or explore the countryside, visiting castle ruins or the Krehiv monastery and Zhovka citadel, then try one of Lviv's unusual themed restaurants for dinner. On the third day, you can spend the morning relaxing in the Old Town and continue with a Private Cooking Class followed by a chocolate tasting at a separate venue.
What are Lviv's must-see sights?
For centuries, Lviv has hosted for Austrian, Polish, Jewish, Hungarian, and Armenian communities, which have left their marks in many ways, especially unique churches throughout the Old Town. Seek out the enormous baroque Sts. Peter and Paul Jesuit Church, the 14th century gothic Latin Cathedral, the formerly Dominican (now Greek Catholic) Church, the Armenian Church with its fabulous murals, or the Bernadine Church. Other gorgeous sites include the Venetian Palace (now a history museum), town hall (which offers great views from its tower), Lviv Art Palace, Lviv Citadel, High Castle, themed restaurants, and Lychakiv cemetery.
