The services we provide as part of our comprehensive packages include accommodations, transfers, and city tours. Cosmopolitan Tbilisi can be hard to place, with its combination of Byzantine churches, Soviet modernism, and Art Nouveau. There are even Turkish baths that harness the sulfurous waters that flow from hot springs and down a waterfall. Newfound prosperity has brought stunning new hotels, showy new parks, cable cars, and a monumental cathedral, but the Old Town’s charms remain untouched, save for the occasional paint touch up. The oldest district, which lies beneath a massive fortress, has its own unique form of architecture, with colorful wooden homes featuring large, carved balconies.

Day 1

Day 1 - Arrival in Tbilisi

When you arrive, we'll have a driver waiting to greet you. You'll be taken to your accommodation in Tbilisi, the Georgian capital.

Our representative will then meet with you to answer any questions you have and to get you settled for the rest of your trip.

Visit Funicular Restaurant

Suggestion to explore on your own

For your first night, we recommend taking a funicular up to, yes, Funicular Restaurant. There you can enjoy one of the city's best panoramic views. This excellent restaurant is located in a Soviet building that has been recently renovated, at the entrance to the Mtatsminda Amusement Park (which you can stroll around for free). The funicular itself dates back more than 100 years, but has fortunately likewise been renovated. Grab “Lagidze Waters” (a popular natural lemonade), and a "ponchik" filled donut, and take in the city from above.

Bathe with the Locals

Suggestion to explore on your own

The ancient Abanotubani District sits below the imposing fortress; the brick, domed rooftops of the baths bubble up like spring water. This is the most historic part of the city, as according to legend, it was the sulfur springs that enticed King Vakhtang Georgasali to settle the land and declare it the new capital city in the 5th century AD. There were once more than 60 bathhouses in Tbilisi where people could get squeaky clean or stay for a soak, letting the curative sulfur water ease their ailments. Fast-forward to today: there are five surviving bathhouses in Abanotubani where locals and travelers can experience a sulfur bath.

The largest synagogue was built in the 1880s, and has impressive frescoes, which you can take in during Shabbat and holidays. Georgia’s second largest city, Batumi is more than just Georgia’s glitzy beach capital. This tourist haven is known for its unusual skyline, as well as for its nightlife, seaside promenade, and restaurants. We recommend taking the cable car to get your bearings and a vista of the city and the coast. Explore Batumi’s center and its eclectic mix of styles, from classical to pure novelty. While long known for Neoclassical architecture, the city has become known for investors with unusual tastes, which can give parts a Las Vegas feel. The unfinished Technical University building, a skyscraper with a Ferris wheel embedded near the top, is a must-see. If you’re looking for a break, the city’s beaches await you, and Batumi’s massive botanical gardens are a perfect urban oasis.
